God is unchanging! He is "the same yesterday, today and forever".
My life is constantly changing. I mean big changes and always little ones, of course. I guess when you have a large family (4 married children plus three single adults) there is always change. So many birthdays and events and the list goes on. It can be overwhelming if I let it. So, today I will choose to not be overwhelmed. God has graciously reminded me (through His word) that He is still God, and He is still in control of my life; as crazy as it seems at times.
He has not changed. God is still there. He chose me. He loves me. Wow!
Why would I ever doubt this? Why do I let "life" distract me from the "giver" of life? I don't want to live one moment without being acutely aware of His presence. He is the one thing in my life that doesn't change. His love will always be there for me; covering me, giving me great peace and joy.
Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever".
The song in my heart: "On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand."
